Michael Carrick is a great midfielder

You think I'm gone crazy saying Michael Carrick is a great midfielder.
Your wondering how and why him?
Right let me explain:
At Tottenham has was a big part of the team, and quoted as the best midfielder for the club in 2007 by Martin Jol.
Manchester United hadn't won the Premier League in two years thanks to Chelsea and Jose Mourinho.
Secondly Sir Alex Ferguson has lost a key member of his team and a captain who went by Roy Keane.
Sir Alex looked at many candidates who could replace captain fantastic and Michael Carrick fit the bill as the best choice around for only 18 million.
The thing about Carrick that is really great is he can play attacking and defending midfielder, he has great passing and a good standard vision, but the bad point of it all is he is slow.

People say how bad he is how Manchester United need a good attacker, but the thing they don't see is, Carrick does the '' Dirty job '' at Man United.
Let me explain: Sir Alex likes to play with high attacking Wingers and usually the full backs go up and support the Wingers who act as Manchester United's Midfielders.
So the Midfielder's do the '' Dirty Job '' that no-one sees, they cover all the positions, they do the tackles so they don't run at the defenders.

After Michael Carricks arrival at Manchester United, on his debut he won the Premier League and the Champions League, he played a big part in the whole season.
Usually players take their time settling into their strive for the club, but Man Utd hadn't won for two years and Carricks arrival boosted their chances and they strived and got silverware.
Carrick has been great for Manchester United, everyone criticises him but yet Manchester United won the league every season apart from 2010 when Anchelloti won the double with Chelsea.

The only problem with Carrick is:
His shooting. His shooting is very poor and very rarely finds the net.
You look at the great midfielder's like Lampard and Gerrand who as midfielder's should have in a great shoot.
This is a big PLUS for the team, as if the midfielder with a great shot has space he can shoot and mostly likely get a goal for the team.

But the Shooting isn't a problem for Carrick because Carrick has something Man United need more then a Midfielder with strong shots.
He can help Defend and Attack. He can use both feet and with superb passing he has vision to pick his passes out to deploy the attack.
He can intercept an attack and create his own move at the opposition, this makes everyone else play better with more confidence because they know a good player is behind them and a trusted player.
